    After having just completed a multi-purpose aquatic center the year before, Gwinnett County selected the LDDBlueline™ team to design a “bigger & better” aquatic facility as part of a new park. The aquatic component includes an indoor 25yd x 25m competition pool with seating for 750 spectators, an instructional pool, wet classroom, and a 9,500 sq. ft. outdoor leisure pool with slides and play structure. Additional components in the park include playing fields with a walking track, a support building, and graded area for future tennis courts and playground.

    Middle Georgia State University Recreation and Wellness Center

    As the first building constructed on the northern part of the Macon campus, the recreation and wellness center had to be a focal point for the entire campus, drawing students and staff together with its strategic location between the academic and housing areas. LDDBlueline™ partnered with Flynn Finderup Architects to provide a signature building that includes a two-court gymnasium with elevated running track, fitness center with weights and cardio, racquetball courts, bowling alley, indoor recreational pool, interactive gaming area, student gathering areas, and a grab & go food venue.

    Reverend James Orange Park Pool Renovation

    LDDBlueline™ was part of the team selected to move forward with this project after the City of Atlanta and Park Pride Atlanta had conducted visioning sessions with the public. The challenge was to meet the intent of the design vision within a limited budget. The design team worked with the City and the contractor and the resulting leisure pool, splash pad, playground, and pool house exceeded the public expectations, fit within the existing context, and met the budget to deliver a successful project.

  • Brookhaven Medical Office Building – Georgia Dermatology Partners

    Brookhaven Medical Office Building – Georgia Dermatology Partners

    The Georgia Dermatology Partners suite includes exam rooms, Mohs procedure areas, retail areas and a derm pathology lab.  The challenge of this project was to provide enough privacy for the Mohs patients yet allow them to have access to more comfortable waiting areas.  Additional space planning work was required to provide a separate private entrance for high-profile patients.  These patients were not expected to enter the normal check in/waiting area. Custom glass shelving was also designed to showcase products to patients.

  • Brookhaven Medical Office Building

    Brookhaven Medical Office Building

    The design team was tasked with providing services for two different specialties in Piedmont Health System: Pulmonology and Orthopedics. Pulmonology requires special attention to detail of patient flow and equipment requirements. It is imperative to provide short walks to exam rooms as the patients are often out of breath in short distances. In addition, LDDBlueline™ was challenged to create a 60 ft corridor for patient 3-minute walk tests that met the requirement yet did not appear as a never-ending corridor. For the Orthopedics portion of the project, LDDBlueline™ met the challenge of balancing patient flow and doctors’ workflow. The doctors’ work areas also needed to be in close proximity to the Xray Units and other centrally-located patient services.

    The design team was tasked to provide an upscale design for a new corporate office in Buckhead. The layout for this startup group of financial advisers was a true challenge. The design had to provide both an overall open feel the owners desired as well as private spaces for the staff.  The Client also wanted to explore unique angles in the layout, avoiding any looks of a mundane office. This group likes to work hard and also have fun. A Nitro Tap in the Break Room allows for that extra pick me up while working on a big project.

    Northside-Cherokee Towne Lake Parking Deck

    On a four-acre site, the 103,869 square foot medical office building consists of four stories of tenant space. For the site size, it made sense to have a parking deck to accommodate patients and staff.  The deck connects to the medical office building with a covered walkway.  The parking deck is precast concrete with thin brick spandrel wall panels.  LDDBlueline™ achieved the 2013 ACI Georgia Chapter Recipient of  “Award of Excellence” for Low-Rise Buildings and  “Outstanding Achievement” for Parking Deck.  The project achieved LEED Certification.

  • University of North Georgia South Parking Deck

    University of North Georgia South Parking Deck

    With an increasing student body, the demand was present for additional campus and community parking. This design/build project with Choate Construction is a precast concrete parking deck with two (2) elevators and entry points on grade at both the upper and lower levels. The deck is tucked into the existing hillside so that from some angles, it practically disappears from view. It provides easy access to the neighboring dorms, alumni center and convocation center. Design and construction were completed in less than a year.

  • Ridgeview Behavioral Hospital

    Ridgeview Behavioral Hospital

    The former Walton County Hospital was partially demolished and repurposed for use as a Behavioral Health facility.  Portions of the existing building that remained were totally gutted leaving only the concrete structural frame.  The existing low floor to floor height had to be closely coordinated with mechanical and electrical systems for the new layout to accommodate the Owner’s programmatic requirements. LDDBlueline™ provided full architectural and interior design for this privately-owned, 70-bed facility, that serves children, adolescents, and adults to provide a full continuum of behavioral health and addiction treatment services. The facility includes private and semi-private patient rooms, large group therapy rooms, an outpatient clinic and support space including a pharmacy and food service administration. Indoor and outdoor recreational activity areas are also provided. In 2021, LDDBlueline™ was awarded the third floor build out, expanding the bed count by an additional 23 beds, with support spaces.

  • Medical Office Building at the Paddocks

    Medical Office Building at the Paddocks

    LDDBlueline™ was selected to provide full architectural and interior design services for this medical office building that consists of steel frame construction with brick and fiber-cement panels with aluminum and glass curtain wall and storefront window systems. The design for the shell building includes all public spaces, fire egress stairs, elevators, and support spaces. Interior tenant fit-out design includes suites for North Atlanta Vascular Care, North Atlanta Women’s Care and North Atlanta Vein Center. Design goals were set to maximize the tenant usable area while providing a modern design that incorporates canopies and sun devices.  The front entrance covered drop off canopy is cantilevered from the building to make dropping off and picking up patients a more streamlined process.
