    Brookhaven Medical Office Building II and Parking Deck

    The project consisted of the design for the shell building of a three-story medical office building. LDDBlueline™ Interiors also provided tenant buildout and interior design services for a number of the tenants in this multi-tenant building, including a full floor (second floor) suite for Piedmont Healthcare. The City of Brookhaven historic design parameters became a catalyst for the design of this prominent Peachtree Road landmark building.  The shell building design included the public lobby, fire egress stairs, gurney size elevator, egress corridors, and public restrooms. Parking connectivity with the adjacent building provided multiple ways into the site.  An elevated parking podium behind the building was designed to coordinate with the site’s location adjacent to a MARTA rail line and to meet medical office tenant leasing/parking criteria.

    620 Cherokee Medical Office Building and Covered Parking

    This compact site is located across the street from Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.  Under building parking was utilized to maximize the site and to accommodate the two-story medical office tenant criteria.  Due to the geometry of the site, the front stair tower became an external design element that helped to maximize the tenant usable area. The design for the project was for the shell and core building, which includes the public lobby, fire egress stairs, two (2) elevators and building support spaces. The project consists of steel frame construction with brick and EIFS for the exterior skin with aluminum and glass window systems. LDDBlueline™’s Interiors Department provided the tenant build-out documents for three tenants in the building: Ortho Atlanta; Georgia Hand, Shoulder and Elbow; and NMotion.

    Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations (K-9, Traffic Unit Building) and Coroner Facility

    LDDBlueline™ was selected to design a new single-story building to house the K-9 and Traffic Unit for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department. The facility will include an indoor K-9 training area, kennels, dog wash area, general care area for the dogs, storage, restrooms, offices, and a traffic unit office area and conference rooms. The project also includes a single-story building to house the Coroner’s Office and the Forensics Garage.

    The new fire station has a three-bay apparatus with a dayroom, sleeping rooms, restrooms, showers, offices, laundry room, storage and maintenance area, systems room, fire protection equipment room, extractor room, kitchen and dining area.     Newton County Judicial Center Addition and Renovations

    LDDBlueline™ was awarded the Newton County Judicial Center Expansion to provide a feasibility study which led to full architectural and interior design services. The three-story, Judicial Center expansion includes much need space for the judicial department as well as renovations that includes Superior, Juvenile, Probate, and Magistrate Courts, Clerk of Courts, District Attorney Office, Grand Jury, and Security Checkpoint.

    Coffee High School Performing Arts Center Addition

    This 900-seat, Performing Arts Center is sited adjacent to the gymnasium and takes advantage of existing parking.  The sloped floor system also works with existing contours to save on grading costs.  The layout creates a “through lobby” providing easy access from within the school and both parking areas while creating a new courtyard.  The black box theater/classroom with a control booth was included in Phase 1; Phase 2 will include music and art suites. LDDBlueline™ teamed with Suttles and Associates Architects to provide full architectural and interior design services.

    Kennesaw State University, The Commons, Student Culinary Center

    LDDBlueline™, in association with Flynn Finderup Architects, was selected as the design team for the first real dining hall project on the Kennesaw State University campus, which allows students participating in the new meal plans to choose from ten different dining venues with an unlimited dining concept. The building is very prominently located a few steps from the main campus green along the main pedestrian walkway between academic and housing areas. The campus desired a very exciting design which attracts attention, which is achieved through the curved facade, the main entry tower and the second floor dining terraces overlooking the pedestrian walkway. The main dining level seats 750 diners in a variety of seating configurations while the second level accommodates 250 diners in student group dining, soft seating areas and dining terraces

    LDDBlueline™ was selected to provide full architectural and interior design services for this project that includes targeted renovation and re-purposing the building with the goal to improve the quality of the University’s student experience by integrating key student services efficiently in a single location and enhancing the quality of student assembly, meeting, and dining spaces in the campus core. Key building systems were renewed to improve functional quality. LDDBlueline™ coordinated all FFE and kitchen equipment for the updated dining hall.

    University of North Georgia, Martha T. Nesbitt New Academic and Laboratory Building

    This state-of-the-art facility nearly doubles the instructional space of the main campus of University of North Georgia. The building’s primary role is to provide general instruction space and faculty offices for the entire campus. The programmed space includes 27 general classrooms, 13 instructional labs, specialty labs for foreign languages and media production, 94 faculty offices, conference rooms, distance learning video conference rooms, a coffee shop, and a 260-seat multi-purpose room. Also included is a large mechanical room to accommodate an energy plant for future neighboring buildings. LDDBlueline™ provided full architectural and interior design services.

    St. Pius X High School New Education Building

    The new St. Pius X Education Building plan is a two-story structure designed to strengthen the “STEM” curriculum at this college preparatory school. Set in an urban context and serving a diverse population, the new building incorporates labs, classrooms, a media center/library, and offices. The modern design, clad in stone and brick, features a two-story atrium lobby. Previous phases include a new student entrance, education spaces, and exterior improvements. A school community survey conducted by LDDBlueline™ helped shape the project agenda and program.
