  • Fort Bend County Community Fulshear JP Courthouse

Fort Bend County Community Fulshear JP Courthouse

LDDBlueline™ was honored to be the firm chosen to work with Fort Bend County to re-purpose the existing Fulshear Public Library to a new Fort Bend County Courthouse Annex. Built in 1997 as the home of Fulshear Public Library, the building operated as a community library until the 2020s, will be reimagined as a Fulshear Courthouse Annex Building to help fill a vital need in the community.

LDDBlueline™ is providing full design services for this adaptive-reuse project. The proposed new Fulshear Courthouse Annex Building joins courts facilities in one single-story building. This adaptive re-use project will house a large courtroom, which contains distinct spaces for each department, and maintains one central entrance and lobby, as well as communal storage facilities. In addition to the judge’s bench, jury box, bailiff station and attorney’s table, the courtroom’s large assembly space can accommodate up to eighty people. Additional components include a service counter, administrative workstations, file rooms, jury deliberation room, judge’s chambers, staff break rooms and ancillary support spaces.

  • Fort Bend County Community Center

    Fort Bend County Community Center

This project provided a state-of-the-art combination city community center and family resource center facility to the City of Rosenberg, Texas. LDDBlueline™ designed this two-story, 19,800 sq. ft. community center operated by Fort Bend County and Boys and Girls Club of Great Houston. The new community center hosts a child watch, teen center, and indoor basketball and volleyball courts. The project was designed as a focal point for the city and seeks to be a showcase for future youth and community centers.

The facility was designed to house fitness programs, sports leagues, day camps, and several youth programs. In addition, the facility also houses a primary care center that synergizes with the project focus on community health and wellness. The overall program and design provide a holistic approach to community health, social engagement, and youth development, as well as programs for the senior community.

One of the challenges presented by the project was the need to have a flexible but compatible design for an approximate 10,500 square feet of partner space that was being planned in conjunction with, but operated separately from, the community center. Fort Bend County contracted with Attack Poverty, a local non-profit, to provide family resource services center.

  • The Point Church

    The Point Church

The Point Church—having met in a school for nearly 11 years—desired a building they could call home.  They secured a prime location on Pantops Mountain with scenic views of Downtown Charlottesville.  Their building contains a 500 seat auditorium with 200 seat balcony overlooking it; an open, spacious lobby with café and a large expanse of glass that takes advantage of the view; upper-level office space for staff; and lower level educational space accommodating age-specific ministries from preschool through high school, along with a room for new members classes.  On the outside of the building, care was taken to provide a terrace that overlooks downtown, as well as a protected green space for use by the kid’s ministries.

  • Mosaic Christian Church

    Mosaic Christian Church

Mosaic strives for a great in-person experience with authenticity. With a clean, simple aesthetic, the building intentionally doesn’t look like a church. Mosaic converted a single-story office building into an energic facility which seats 800 for worship and includes kids classrooms and offices. The auditorium area was demolished and rebuilt to provide 27’ tall, open rooms. Garage doors open the foyer to the front parking lot on good weather days. The office plan is open for collaborative work and access to views. Behind the scenes are spaces for video production, communion preparation, and baptism changing rooms.

    Lifepoint Church Fredericksburg

Lifepoint Church began in 2006 with 50 people who were looking to do church in a new way. Today they have two services with an average weekend attendance of over 1,200. Having outgrown the school auditorium in which they meet, they purchased an ice rink building. The long span, high-bay structure allows for a 1,000 seat auditorium with stadium-style seating. The 2,000 SF stage accommodates state-of-art video and lighting. Children’s ministry spaces have their own band-ready worship venues. There are also “warm rooms” for welcoming newcomers, a volunteer lounge and workroom, training rooms and a suite for production of audio and video recordings.

  • Lifepoint Church Spotsylvania

    Lifepoint Church Spotsylvania

LDDBlueline™ began working with Lifepoint in 2010, completing their first campus in 2012. Two years later we began work on their first satellite campus. The 38,000 SF, 800-seat facility was designed to be a prototype for future campuses. The Spotsylvania site will also likely be the future home of Lifepoint College. In planning the satellite worship facility, we completed programming for the college and provided test-fits allowing the church building to connect to the future college.

  • Church of the Incarnation

    Church of the Incarnation

Deeply committed to being a positive presence in the heart of the City of Harrisonburg, Church of the Incarnation gives a strong emphasis on visual arts and music, public discourse, and learning. The repurposing of the Carter Bank building was an opportunity to enhance these ministries.

LDDBlueline™ regularly met with Church of the Incarnation’s building committee to determine how to best renovate the aging structure to economically fulfill their needs. We provided programming analysis, virtual images, and product samples to help the church visualize the design. We worked closely alongside the church through the selection of contractors beyond occupancy of the building to ensure the church’s satisfaction.
